Market Demand and Prospects of the Sand Washing Industry
Driven by Construction Demand: With the acceleration of urbanization and the continuous advancement of various construction projects, the construction industry is increasingly demanding high-quality sand. Sand that has been cleaned and processed can better meet construction standards, providing a broad market space for the sand washing industry. For example, there is a sustained increase in the demand for high-quality sand and gravel in fields such as infrastructure construction, real estate development, and water conservancy projects.
Regional Supply and Demand Imbalance: Taking Guangdong Province as an example, during the period of 2019-2020, there was a huge gap in the construction sand in Guangdong. The demand for river sand and sea sand reached 5.6-5.7 billion tons, but Guangdong could only supply about 0.2 billion tons of river sand locally. Guangxi supplied 0.1 billion tons of river sand and 0.2 billion tons of water-washed mountain sand. Guangdong supplied 0.5 billion tons of sea sand, and Guangxi supplied 0.33 billion tons of sea sand to Hong Kong. In addition, Guangdong supplied about 2.79 billion tons of 5-millimeter stone powder from construction crushed stone, with a total supply of 4.12 billion tons of sand, leaving a gap of about 1.5 billion tons.
